Obtaining a patent in some specific forging processes is widely known to be not an easy task, as it has been so much difficult to explain the originality of the process before the advent of proper metal forming simulator. With the help of FE predictions, the process characteristics are fully verified, leading to an easy acceptance  of the valuable technology advancement.
